Ridwan Olajide

Ridwan Olajide is a product manager focused on building digital platforms that strengthen technology ecosystems and expand access to essential digital services across Africa.

In 2022, Ridwan serves as Product Manager at GoCaby, where he leads the development of GoPay, the payment infrastructure powering the company’s emerging super app ecosystem. His responsibilities include managing payment capabilities across multiple transaction categories such as airtime top-ups, data subscriptions, electricity payments, and other essential bill services. He works closely with engineering and external service providers to ensure reliable integrations while maintaining a seamless user experience across the platform. In addition to core payment functionality, he contributes to the development of social payment features designed to enable users to split costs and manage shared expenses more efficiently.

Alongside his professional role, Ridwan volunteers as Project Manager for TechSummitOgun, which is the largest convergence of Tech- disruptors, innovators, startups, organisations, and technology enthusiasts in Ogun State; targeted at creating an awakening, spurring Technological Innovation, availing attendees partnership and investment opportunities with the overall goal of the collaboration towards the Digital Transformation and Technological Advancement of Ogun State. In this capacity, he oversees end-to-end event coordination, including programme planning, speaker engagement, venue logistics, sponsor partnerships, marketing campaigns, and volunteer management. The 2022 edition attracted approximately 3,000 participants and received coverage from national technology and media outlets such as Technext24, BellaNaija, reflecting the conference’s growing visibility and impact.

Ridwan’s approach to product management is grounded in understanding users before building solutions. He believes digital technology should address real problems, particularly for underserved communities, and contribute to ecosystem development rather than focusing solely on commercial metrics.
